Our visa guides, city pages and chat are general information. They don't take your circumstances into account, they don't assess your eligibility or chances, and they shouldn't be relied on to make a visa decision. Immigration law is complex and changes often.
2. Who can give immigration assistance
Under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth), immigration assistance may only be given by:
- registered migration agents (with a MARN on the OMARA register)
- Australian legal practitioners
- certain exempt persons (such as close family members helping without a fee)
3. Introductions to migration agents
- We introduce you to registered migration agents near you. We are not a directory and do not rank agents.
- We check the OMARA register before introducing an agent, but registration can change. Check the agent's MARN on the OMARA register before you engage them.
- An introduction is not an endorsement. We don't supervise agents' work or guarantee its quality.
- Agents in our network may pay us a referral fee.
4. Figures and rules
Visa charges and thresholds on this website are checked against the Department of Home Affairs and dated. Home Affairs indexes charges every 1 July and rules change during the year. Always confirm current figures and requirements with Home Affairs or your migration agent.
5. Visa outcomes
No one can guarantee a visa outcome. Decisions are made by the Department of Home Affairs (or, on review, the Administrative Review Tribunal) under the law at the time.
6. Liability
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information on this website or from services provided by a migration agent.
