1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of visapilot.au (the “Website”), operated by Keinu (“Visa Pilot”, “we”, “us”). By using the Website you agree to them.
2. What we do
The Website gives general information about Australian visas and, if you ask, introduces you to registered migration agents near you. We are not a migration agency, a law firm or a government body, and we are not affiliated with the Department of Home Affairs or the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA). We are a matching service, not a directory.
3. General information, not immigration assistance
Under Part 3 of the Migration Act 1958 (Cth), only registered migration agents, Australian legal practitioners and certain exempt persons may give immigration assistance. Visa Pilot does neither: the guides and the chat give general information only and do not assess your eligibility or chances. Get advice from a registered migration agent or an Australian legal practitioner before you make any visa decision.
4. Accuracy
We check visa charges and thresholds against the Department of Home Affairs and date them, but rules and charges change and the Website may not reflect the latest position. Always confirm current requirements with Home Affairs or your migration agent.
5. Introductions to migration agents
- Agents are independent businesses. Any agreement for services is between you and the agent.
- We check that agents we introduce are on the OMARA register, but we don't supervise their work or guarantee its quality, and no one can guarantee a visa outcome.
- Agents in our network may pay us a referral fee. This does not change what you pay the agent.
- Check any agent's MARN on the official OMARA register and get a written service agreement and fees before you engage them.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information, and only submit an enquiry for yourself or someone who has agreed to it
- Don't use the Website unlawfully, to send spam, or to interfere with how it works
- Don't scrape or copy the Website or its data without our permission
7. Intellectual property
The content of the Website belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on general information on the Website or from services provided by a migration agent, and our liability for any failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the service again.
9. Third-party websites
We link to government and other websites we don't control and aren't responsible for.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
